Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital trust came into existence in 1987, after Bhopal Gas tragedy in the year 1984. Many persons lost their vision and some of them were suffering from diseases related to visual impairment. Looking to the agonies & pains of sufferers, Paramhans Sant Hirdaram Sahibji blessed the society by organizing free eye camps which later on paved way for setting up Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital Trust to provide quality treatment. Hospital is Organizing free eye camps throughout the year in far flung rural areas and urban slums of at nearby districts since the inception of the hospital.
Hospital is equipped with all modern equipments having latest technology and Our modular operation theater is also equipped with all modern surgical technologies. Setup under the guidance of nationwide known experts.
Quality of post-operative care is commendable. People of different walks of lives who believes in the service philosophy of Paramhansa Saint Hirdaram Sahibji render their sincere and selfless services to eye patients with their utmost faith and allegiance. It results that most of the eye patients based at rural areas usually wait for the camps of SSEH.
The SSEH is the member of vision 2020: Right to Sight India. After this step, SSEH have tremendously picked the speed of progress. Hospital has partnership with international NGOs like Sight Savers, CBM, Helpage India. Hospital have setup 7 Vision Centers in service area of hospital. Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital has now become synonym of Blindness Eradication.
After achieving encouraging results towards the journey of quality improvement the SSEH marched towards a target of obtaining NABH accreditation and got success in it. Now SSEH is first and only one multi-specialty eye hospital which has been accredited by the NABH in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
In view to looking towards increasing number of eye patients a new building for the hospital is planned near international airport of Bhopal on the land of 5 acres.
