Sewa Sadan at Vision 2020 India’s Central Zone Meeting

Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital participated in the Vision 2020 India’s Central Zone meeting at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot. Ms Bharti Janiyani, Senior Manager (Operations) represented SSEH at the meeting. The one-day meeting held on 15 th June 2024 saw participation from 25 eye care organizations from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The meeting focused on the unique opportunities and challenges facing the central zone members and the state-specific issues that require immediate attention. Dr.Rajesh Saini, President of Vision 2020, Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Treasurer of Vision 2020, Dr. Phanindra B. Nukella, CEO of Vision 2020, Mr. Pramod Tripathi, Project Lead at Sight Savers India, and Dr. Kalpana, Manager of Vision 2020, along with leaders from participating hospitals, shared insightful discussions and actionable insight.

Participants focused on unique opportunities and challenges facing the central zone members and the state-specific issues that require immediate attention. As Mr Kuldeep Singh, Treasurer Vision 2020 rightly mentions, such meetings help in
discussing state-specific dialogues and underscore the critical importance of prioritizing eye health in the region.

On June 15, 2024, Vision 2020 – Right to Sight India hosted a dynamic zonal meeting for the Central region encompassing Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The event, graciously hosted by Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya – Chitrakoot brought together over 25 institutional members and leaders. Together, they engaged in insightful discussions on the opportunities and challenges facing eye health in our central zones. Covering one-fourth of the nation’s eye health needs, the central zone focused on fostering collaboration and enhancing comprehensive eye care to better serve last-mile patients across each state. State-specific dialogues underscored the critical importance of prioritizing eye health in the region. Grateful to Vision 2020 India for organising a meeting of its central zone members. Held on 15th June 2024, it brought together member hospitals from three states: Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, with an impressive participation of 25.Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital, Bhopal was glad to participate.
