DCP Sanjay Singh inaugurated Eye and Dental disease Check-up camp at Nadra bus stand.

Refraction error of 270 drivers were examined by Sewa Sadan team

DCP Sanjay Singh inaugurated a free refraction, eye and dental diseases examination camp for public transport drivers in collaboration with Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital, Traffic Police and State Bank of India. In the Road Safety Month, under the theme ‘Parwah’ for traffic awareness, 270 drivers suffering from refraction error, eye diseases got their eyes and 210 people got their teeth checked up in a camp organized at Nadra Bus Stand. Out of these, 200 drivers were found to have refraction error and 24 had symptoms of cataract. Sewa Sadan provided spectacles to 123 drivers with weak eyesight and free drops to 172 suffering from eye diseases. Apart from these, 28 drivers were advised to get their eyes checked by consulting the ophthalmologist at Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital. The hospital checked the blood pressure of 220 people, out of which 9 were found to have high blood pressure. Diabetes was also found in 17 people. 35 patients were found to have RCT for dental problems, 50 had to undergo extraction and the rest had complaints of other dental diseases. All these people were advised to get dental treatment as per the need.

On the occasion DCP Traffic Sanjay Singh told that drivers engaged in public transport service should get their eyes checked from time to time. If the eyesight of the drivers is weak, they will not be able to drive. State Bank of India’s DGM Lokesh Chandra said that State Bank of India, along with banking business, also fulfills its social responsibilities very well. Along with Sewa Sadan and traffic police, they will also cooperate in such public utility services by standing shoulder to shoulder. Apart from SBI’s regional manager Rajvaidya, Assistant Police Commissioner Vijay Kumar Dubey, social worker Dr. M.D. Bhagtani, Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital trustee Rajkumar Moolchandani, dentist Dr. Komal Daswani and Dr. Roshni Gyanchandani, optometrist D.P. Mishra and Saurabh Gupta, assistant Nilesh Waghmare were also present in the camp.
