He was addressing the Data entry operators and community health workers of the vision centres at a day-long workshop held on 15 March 2023 at Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital.

Siddh Bauji further urged the health workers and data entry operators working in the vision centers to perform an exhaustive survey in rural areas and collect errorless data that will help in eliminating avoidable blindness in the areas where we work.

Secretary, Jeev Sewa Sansthan, Shri Mahesh Dayaramani, Consultant, Col. ( Retd) Dr. Madan Deshpande, Trustee, Shri. A.C. Sadhwani and Managing trustee, Shri. L.C. Janiyani were present at the function.

Col. Dr. Madan Deshpande has said that 0.62% people of the country suffer from cataract every year. Blindness from cataracts is avoidable if detected and treated. If health workers should strive to bring 40+ age group to the vision centres for a timely check and this may help in early detection of any eye ailment.
